I was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan. My family moved to Palo Alto, California, when I was five. I now live in Southern California with my husband, our Zen Master dog and three saucy cats.

A red-tailed hawk touches down in our yard. In the magnolia, a flock of wild Amazon parrots screech out raucous greetings. The guy next door plays drums.
